Embroidery Digitizing And Vector Conversion

Vector art is a process in which the raster images are converted into line art images through the use of vector lines to opposite dots. Some common formats used in vector conversion are .bmp, .gif and .jpg in which small dots are used to create pictures and other images. Vector images are smaller than the Bitmap images and they can be scaled down at any level possible without ruining the resolution. Various print houses require vector files and vector images also allow you to change the color and edit the picture in any way you choose. A vector image is detailed and no resolution is lost in it. In embroidery digitizing the art done manually is converted into computerized form which tells a computer how to move during the embroidery process. In this process the digitizer first studies and analyzes how the embroidery is and sees if any alterations have to be made within it. Then it is modified in a graphic program with its logo and texts and after that it is opened in an embroidery program for further editing. There has to be a stitch file created and the digitizer has to decide the pattern as to how the logo may run. The path can determine the position of the design and when it will finish. If a wrong sequence is chosen then there might be gaps or errors in the text of the design. The pathing pattern will determine the entire design and the complete time to complete it. Then the digitizer allocates the stitch type to each group based on which stitch would make the best artwork. The digitizer adds the underlay stitches which help in creating a perfect logo. Underlay helps the fabric to stabilize and have a smooth surface so that the design can continue without any hindrance. The three types of stitch types are run, satin and fill stitches and each stitch requires different variations types on it.The digitizer must also decide on the fabric he must stitch on and make adjustments according to it. Every fabric requires different sorts of stitches and must be dealt with differently so that the results are positive. The design also moves while it is being embroidered and this causes the stitches to shift from time to time. A digitizer must keep these movements of the fabric in mind and make adjustments according to it so that the design is not tampered with. Designs which are more colorful and require minute fine details take up more time as compared to others. The process of digitizing requires much expertise and time and must be done with great patience. A well digitized design enhances and refines the logo and makes it outshine the cloth no matter what the quality of the cloth is and this is the key characteristic of a good digitizer. Both embroidery digitizing and vector conversion are growing businesses today and their services are required nearly by all firms and business’s in one way or the other. These are flourishing fields and require real expert workers who know what they are doing with the cloth without ruining it. There are a number of embroidery digitizing and vector conversion companies over the internet also but the decision by the consumer must be made wisely as not all the companies have real expertise as this is a highly skilled job.
